    Default AccessECU Tuning Guide and Worksheet for Subarus

    We have composed a document called the "AccessECU Software Calibration & Tuning Guides for Subarus v1.11". This document is intended to assist you with the calibration and tuning of your Subaru motor using the Cobb Tuning AccessTUNER software. This document contains two addendums, "How Subaru’s Factory Boost Control System Works" & "Dynamic Advance & Dynamic Advance Multiplier Explained"; understanding these functions of the ECU and vehicle set-up will be extremely helpful when tuning your Subaru. This documents is constantly updated so please check back every once in a while to make sure you are using the latest version.

    We have also composed an .pdf based worksheet called "AccessECU Calibration & Tuning Guide Worksheet for Subarus v1.31" which has several tabs containing a Fuel Injector Scale and Latency database, Intake Calibration short-cuts and multipliers, Boost control formulas, Ignition and Dynamic Advance formulas, Intake Calibration formulas, and Petrol, E10, E85, & E100 tuning tips.

    Added 01/28/2007 - We have also included an executable program called "Convert" which is very helpful when converting units from metric-standard-scientific, see ConvertSetup.zip attachment below.
    Added 02/28/2007 - Here is a .pdf based document which goes over specific steps to assist you with your fuel injector table settings.
    Added 03/27/2007 - Here is a .pdf based document which explains Dynamic Advance and Dynamic Advance Multiplier and what the Subaru ECU is trying to do in order to optimize ignition advance.
    Updated 04/03/2007 - The AccessTUNER Calibration & Tuning Guide Worksheet for Subarus has been updated to v1.28 and it now includes a spark plug database and we have added some Deatschwerks fuel injector calibrations as well. The Mathematics tab has been updated with some additional formulas for calculating proper calibrations for various sensors.
    Updated 04/03/2007 - The AccessTUNER Calibration & Tuning Guide for Subarus has been updated to v1.09 and this document now includes more screen shots and graphics, updated instructions, more clear information on fuel injector table settings, and more tuning tips for DBW applications.
    Updated 04/17/2007 - The AccessTUNER Calibration & Tuning Guide for Subarus has been updated to v1.10 we have included some plumbing diagrams for various 2 and 3-port boost control solenoid valves. These diagrams should be very helpful when you are trying to figure out which vacuum lines go where The AccessTUNER Calibration & Tuning Guide Worksheet for Subarus has been updated to v1.29 and now includes some more information on various intake sizes and the Boost database, which includes factory restrictor pill measurements and wastegate pre-tension, has been updated.
    Updated 04/24/2007 - We have updated some of the diagrams to include more specific information on the 3-port EBCS solenoid valves, updated Tuning Guide to v1.11.
    Updated 06/12/2007 - We have created a document which you should read and follow prior to any tuning appointment, this document is called the Dyno Tuning Checklist v1.00 and can be downloaded from the link below. We highly suggest you follow the tests and maintenance procedures on this document, it will save you and your tuner/calibrator unnecessary diagnosis fees and frustration.
    Updated 08/16/2008 - Added technical document, How To Determine If You Have Mechanical Boost Creep v1.02.
