Before we go any further, what year, make, model is your car. What are you mods. Why do you feel you need an EBCS?
I have been looking into Grimmspeed's 3 Port EBCS and have been trying to figure out the best way of tuning. I dont have any pro tuners in the area so my options are limited. So that leaves me the option of learning and doing it myself or using e-tuning. Im just trying to get as much info as possible before making a choice to get it or not.
So I would be greatful on any info on what I would need to do to tune myself with AccessPORT or if e-tuning would be my best option.

Im looking to try and get quicker boost with better control.
I real dont wanna waste your time or anything, I just wanted to know if its something that I could do myself or if I should have it tuned by someone with more knowledge.

I'm also looking into GrimmSpeed's 3-port EBCS for my 08 WRX.
Mods: EL headers, UP, Catless DP, TBE, HKS panel Filter.
Reasons are the same as WRX_Addiction, except that the EBCS is better than just changing the restrictor pill to correct my overboost as a result of the catless DP.
Would an E-Tune be the safest/simplest way to go?

Thanks, Charlie. Whether my WRX would have issues with overboost or not doesn't matter at this point, the EBCS is already in the mail
Thanks for bringing to light the issues of the stock BOV. I'm pretty inexperienced with turbo-charged motors. I'll have to look into an aftermarket BOV too, preferably recirculating.
Im working on mine as well!
3 port ebcs...I had to cut my WGDC down from 90% in more than several cells to get the right boost. Was 90% now 40%. sooo, be careful or you will have more problems than just needing to tune the ebcs.

The general rule with installing a 3-port EBCS is to reduce your WGDC 50% and also 50% of your Turbo Dynamics. Reducing Turbo Dynamics 50% and zeroing your WGDC tables and slowly increasing your boost is the safest initial tuning procedure when installing a 3-port EBCS and any errors in the installation process will be revealed. Starting with wastegate boost and slowly increasing it is always safer than starting with too much boost and causing damage to your engine.
