Default Vista x32, AP Manager and Updater work but not Access TUNER, please help

I've been trolling through the threads on here for a couple of hours and cannot see to find anything that will resolve this problem, so here is the issue and what I have done.

Basic Info: Using Vista 32x system. AccessPort v. 2.0b, AP-NIS-003, USDM 2007 350Z Coupe (MT)

I installed AP Manager and it has no issues. If it is on and I plug in the device or tell it to connect to the device there is no issue, I am using APM 1.2.2.1

I installed AP updator and did not have too many issues. The firmware on my AP was updated to v. 1.5.0.4-12626. No issues between the AP and the car yet, but I understand that I will have to reflash the ECM before being able to use any new maps from Access TUNER.

Then I went to install Access TUNER software and have had one problem after another. The driver software (though not giving me any errors) is showing that it cannot install because "device is not connected." When I try to install the TUNER software itself it looks for the AP and cannot locate it. I have run these programs in every configuration that I can think of to make them work. With/without compatibility mode for XP SP 2 running, Enabling/Disabling the device at various times during the installation process, and running as admin on all of the software. The AP Manager and Updater still find the device without any problem but the TUNER software cannot seem to find it when it is plugged in. Even tried different ports on the computer.

I bought this thing with future upgrades in mind, so the tuner software is not a huge issue now, but I will need it when start beefing up the fuel system and prepping the car for FI. I did not see this same issue on the other threads, thought I would post it here first rather than contacting customer support directly for now in case anyone else is having the same issue.

There seems to be some issue with the Nissan ATR software on VISTA and WINDOWS 7. A member of COBB staff that goes by TURTLE on this forum has been helping members out with this issue. I believe you can just email her or send her a PM. Turtle@cobb.com?
