v1 ap used on 05 wrx compatible with 02wrx?

i am looking to purchase a v1 ap formerly used on an 05wrx will this be compatible with an 02wrx? i have heard different things and wanted to make sure first

Nope. They are year and model specific.

+1....the AP V1's were VERY specific to year & model unlike the AP V2's that can cover a few years/models. I would say to either stay away from it or (if you can get it for $100 or so) buy it and then trade it in on a AP V2!
