It probably will run on regular pump gas but with reduced performance. I had a co-worker who had a Lincoln MKZ that "Required" Premium but only put regular in it. He put over 100k miles on it without a problem. He did say that every once and a great while, he'd put Premium in and would get better MPG and performed better.
