Grand Re-Opening Pics and Recap :)
Just wanted to take some time and post up some pics, recap what we did... but most importantly, thank everyone who came out to celebrate with us... especially our vendors!
We had cars lined up and down the street as far as the eye could see. Estimates of 500+ people showed up... someone even guess 600-800 people (I think that's a little high)...
Our charity donation of "give food, get food" worked extremely well. We collected 477 items of food and a 50lbs bag of rice for the North Texas Food Bank. Also, everyone who didn't have food donated a total of $520... all total, this should go a long way to helping our local community.
We had tech talks that went over very well, with "Tuning 101" led by COBB lead calibrator, Tim Bailey. Also, Tim along with our very own Calvin Dotson conducted a Live Tuning demonstration on the dyno with our 2011 Subaru STi R&D car. I'd venture to guess 75+ people witnessed the guys mess with calibrations and show what happens when you make adjustments to the tune. Our other tech talk was led by Brian Hanchey of AST Suspension and Terry Fair of Vorshlag Motorsports. They discussed the virtues of a good suspension setup and where their products fit into the mix.
We also conducted installation demonstrations of our SF Intake on an EVO X that was on display from Don Herring Mitsubishi. Lastly, we performed a downpipe and high-flow cat installation on an EVO X.
Special thanks to the individual car clubs that came in full support of the day... and I'd like to mention all of our vendors one last time because without them... it just wouldn't have been as awesome!
