Default Hoping to get a log review for 11 STI

    Hey all,

I've been running the stage1 91 octane 301 boost select map for a few months now and ran a couple of logs last night. There is about 3 minutes between each log and I'm seeing some feedback knock and fine knock on the second 3rd gear pull.

    My novice observations:
    - the feedback knock could be low RPM false knock slowly tapering off (from ~2200 rpm to 4200 rpm)
    - over boost in the TD Boost Error column (negative values)
    - AF Learning 1 is negative 7%

Should I switch over to the LWG map for a while or just get a tank of 94?

    Thanks in advance.

that first one looks really good...
the second one looks like you went full throttle at 2200 rpms. in my opinion, they all going to knock at that low rpm load unless you got race gas or something. Just my opinion.
You can see as soon as you mat it, detonation then it cleared up.

I would be more concerned witht he one event at high rpm. Those are the motor killers. 1.4 aint bad.... but i like 0's.

over boosting a little.. but not bad. what octane gas are you using?

if i was using 91, i would try the lwg map (just me), and see if your error goes postive.
and honestly, you wont tell alot of diff.

    Hey Hutch,

I was using 91 octane and with the prices lately I won't be putting 94 in, so I'll give the LWG a try.

    Cheers

You are overboosting just a tad. One log had pedal mash feedback knock, it happened the second you went WOT and decremented down, that is normal. But you had sone learned fine knock in the upper RPMS. Did it happen in that log or was it just being reapplied, can't really tell unless you log each cylinder knock sum. But the high rpm knock is the concerning oner. It could be just some noise that it picked up on a previous pull and is being re-applied and might just clear out of the table.
The negative 7% AF is a problem because that is learned in closed loop driving and being applied during your WOT pull. So in other words 7% of your fuel is being pulled under WOT when it is in open loop based off of what it learned in closed loop. You usually want to be under +/- 5%.
I would agree with Hutch and try the LWG map, do it as a realtime flash so it clears out your AF learining and do some closed loop driving too. See where your AF1 A,B,C,D are at.

    Thanks for the reply...

What would cause my AF to be sitting at -7% ? I've done quite a few logs over the months and a common theme seems to be my negative AF numbers.. I do a lot of closed loop driving (esp. now-a-days with fuel prices the way they are) and I am trying to extract every MPG I can.

I just recently reflashed the 91 stage1 NWG map and my DAM just hit 1.0 - I'm going to do a couple of logs today to see if the high rpm learned knock is still present and if so I'll real-time the LWG and do a couple more logs throughout the weekend.

Thanks as always for taking the time to help out. Very much appreciated guys!

With the older STI's like the 07 I have never seen so many issues. With the newer ones I don't know what is going on, each car is so different. These cars really need to have their MAF scaled on a dyno.

Yep, completely stock. As an update 2 days ago when I posted this I had just flashed the stage1 91 oct NWG map and was waiting for my DAM to settle at 1.0 - I've run 2 more logs which look great to me. There's still some negative AF Learning, which I'm hoping won't continue to drop.. but I'll run another log in a few days to see where it's at.

Here are the logs in case you guys wanted to see.
