Default Logging on ATR with AEM UEGO

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to log from my AEM UEGO, to ATR through my serial to usb cable. Everything seems to work, but when I try to log I'm told my wideband isn't connected to the ecu.

I'm assuming this is the white wire (0-5v output) because I"m pretty sure it wasn't connected to anything. So what's the best way to go about connecting the wideband to the ecu?

I've been at this for hours now but haven't had much luck. Thanks!

    Harris,

What type of Serial->USB are you using? We have seen issues with Prolific based cables, but have had better luck with FTDI. Everything with the AEM UEGO works perfect for me right now so it may be an issue with your wiring or the converter in use. Can you get a screen shot of the error you are seeing? I've never heard of that error before.

I've also attached a guide to using the AEM UEGO with our software.

    Thank You,

Sorry I didn't realize you had responded. I got everything working today, I was talking to Steve on your support line. I had wired it by a how to on evoxforums. But had used a female serial cable afterwards to make things easier. But the numbering is opposite, 1-2-3-4-5 rather than 5-4-3-2-1 (the diagram I had gone by, which was for a male end serial cable).

Thanks so much for everything, I got it working with a staples brand serial cable in case anyone's wondering.

    HELP!

I have been fighting this AEM UEGO for some time now. Here's whats going on.....

I am running windows XP (older computer used for work)

Green light on the uego goes solid, warms up as it should, I can run the AEM software and log AFR and see real time information with the AEM gauge program.

I can get the UEGO to work through the AEM software with both a serial connection and serial to USB convertor. Everything in the UEGO is working as it should and always has.

ATR is a different story. I followed the link listed above to the write up for logging the UEGO. Followed it to a T several times, made sure it was the only device enabled, made sure I had the correct com port selected, and even purchased a new serial to usb convertor the same as the one you had mentioned earlier.

When i load the ATR program, and connect the accessport to the car, everything works fine...connects to the ECU no problems. When I select dash board with the serial to usb plugged in, ATR freezes and eventually crashes. When I unplug the usb to serial, and restart, the program works the dashboard comes up, with I plug the usb to serial back in for the UEGO and start the car the numbers stay at 0.00. The program freeze will happen everytime I try to access the dash board with the serial to usb to uego plugged in. I have done all updates for ATR, I have done all updates for product drivers, I have tried this several times, and can not get the UEGO to log or show up live in the dash board. I don't know what else I can try. I have had nothing but problems. PLEASE OH PLEASE HELP ME!

What version of ATR and firmware you are using? There shouldn't be any baud rate problems with the default settings in windows (9600 8-N-1). We've tested on XP, Win7 x32/x64 with no issues.

I am using the latest software and all the latest firmware. I could not get it to work with either versions since I have owned the AP. What I don't understand is the fact that using the AEM software it works just fine, every time with either my serial port on the laptop OR a convertor with USB!

I have made sure no other boxes were checked for other WB, and have went through the tutorial you posted in this thread several times. It always reads "0.00" both in the dashboard and in the log file. 9600 is what I have been using.

If I try to open the dash board with the wideband plugged into the USB port it crashes ATR and it won't load the dash board until I unplug the WB sensor.

HEEEEEEELLLLLLP..lol I really don't know what else to try..and its almost impossible to start them both logging at the same time.

Having the very same issue, I got everything working however when I try to log and connect to the ECU my UEGO readout is at 0.00. I have no idea why.

iowa_guy --- I just got mine working after a full day of working at it, however to a slight exception. Rather than sourcing the brown wire to the blue wire on my UEGO I ended up using the RED one. I disabled Lambda AFR UEGO logging and turned on the Gas options and voila - works like a charm. Unsure yet if this is good enough for my tuner, but hell its a step in the right direction? I didn't read above so Im not sure if you mentioned it but what serial cable are you using and what adapter?
