P code 2187 Lean at idle, HPFI install
2007 MS3
So im a newb with mazdaspeed's, however not new to forced induction.
CEL Light just came on and car will barely idle and runs choppy during low rpm acceleration, unless i feather the throttle.
Just Installed Autotech's HPFI kit and this problem started occuring.
Mods to date: COBB SRI, COBB TIH, Blitz BPV, Biltz Dual-SBC, Turbo XS DP, TurboXS Test pipe, ITV22,
I just ordered accessPORT. I know that should have been the first but oh well.
Im thinking that MAF sensor is sensing too much turbulence due to the recent intake mods, or purge valve was hurt during high map when boost cut occured.
But as far as the P code im lost. I have searched the forums for issues related to this problem and still am not sure what to do.
Thanks!!! Please help!!!

Ok, well, just a quick thought, umm, you just installed FP internals from autotech correct ?
Have you bothered to check what your fuel pressure is at when your at idle ? Did you possibly install them incorrectly ?
Did you Turn the key off and on a few times to prime the FP before starting ?
I dont see why your MAF would just all of a sudden crap out on you like this.
Do you have a tune flashed to your car ?
Need a little more info man.
Im assuming you have an AP cause your posting here, so, take your AP, start your car, see where your ACTUAL Fuel Pressure is sitting
You should be around ~410 to 440 at idle. I know before i did my autotechs my car was always at 435. Now its around 420 to 440.
There were a few guys on MSF forums that talked about throwing this code and having barely 50 psi FP at idle.
If thats your case, you miiiiiight wanna take your FP apart and see if you installed them incorrectly.
On top of all this you could have a boost leak as well, dunno man.
Just a thought

Access port should be here Friday, I know that should have been the first thing I did.
No info on fuel pressure yet. As at as install of hpf internals. They were installed correctly. I followed the instructions to the t. I did find a vacuum plug off of the sylenoid for the boost controller, plugged it.
Also I am hearing a boost leak from somewhere. Not sure where it is but I will be pulling the car in the shop today for more investigation. However, after I put a plug on the vacuum line it cleaned up a bit. Is this something I need to leave the car parked until I figure it out it or is it ok to drive to and from work?

Umm you had to cap a line on the BCS ? are you running an aftermarket BCS i/e Grimmspeed 3 port ? Why would you need to cap the stocker ?
I would even start the **** car until the AP got in. Did you Put everything back in the car correctly after the FP internals install ? You shouldnt be "capping" anything on the BCS, it should have everything connected properly unless your running an aftermarket system.

It's the blitz dual sbc boost controller. You have to cap one of the ports due to not having an external wastegate. I knocked one of them off during hpfi install. I'm hearing what sounds like a boost leak, but I'm not sure if it's because of the Cobb intake pipe being louder than stock. I'm puzzled man, am I heading in the right direction by thinking is either a boost or vacuum leak, also I have a blitz bpv, maybe the purge valve is stuck? Do you want to see a pic of the solenoid where the vacuum lines are?
